Nutrition Response Testing (NRT)
As part of the NRT, which is a muscle testing technique, we will send out for bloodwork if that’s needed. Saliva testing is sometimes used as well.
After Dr. Wells gets the results back, he will do a detailed history or a systems survey where he’ll sit down and go over the results with you. He’ll discuss what system of the body he’ll be working on. For example, if you have issues with your thyroid or digestive system, or something else, Dr. Wells will make recommendations based on what your chief complaint or problem is.
At the end of your first visit, we’ll schedule an appointment for another month. When you return for your second appointment, we’ll discuss some dietary changes and may suggest a 21-day purification program.
Benefits of Nutritional Counseling
First, it’s important to know that there are three things that affect the body: physical trauma, chemical toxins or stresses and emotional stresses. We address the physical through chiropractic and address the toxins through supportive whole food nutrition. In terms of emotional stress, we can provide suggestions for handling stress better. When these stresses in the body are minimized, you may experience better health.
Nutritional counseling isn’t covered by insurance and is an additional fee. There is no charge, however, for the system survey as it’s a health history.
